Ready for the Party, Mixed Media Painting by Patt Scrivener

This is one of my paintings in my show at Qualicum Art Supply Gallery.  I painted a wild background and then painted over with a blue gesso misture.  I then scraped back into it and revealed the tulips in the vase. 
I added a few details to finish it off.

Tulips Rustica

In this painting of red tulips I used a crackle medium to emulate an old fence and create a framed effect for the tulips. I am pleased with the results.
