Tulips Rustica
In this painting of red tulips I used a crackle medium to emulate an old fence and create a framed effect for the tulips. I am pleased with the results.

Trees in a Row
This is a 16" x 16" painting in acrylic. I painted the background first in the burgundy colour and then added layers of opaques and transparents to make the sunset like background. I rubbed back to the background to get the tree shapes.

Birdie Sing To My Love
Today I got off my abstract tangent to something a bit more whimsical. I have been disciplining myself to use up some things I have started. This was a beautiful background on illustration board. It had the leaf shape on it and just seemed to be beckoning a bird. I stamped into it and added some collage elements to finish the piece.

One Lonely Tulip
This painting is built up with many layers of paint and collaged papers. I totally changed my colour pallet today to something more muted and dreamy.
