Red Hot and Crazy

I built this collage up in layers. It has a selection of handmade papers including Japanese text and my favourite spiral stamp. I love my new tool for doing fine paint lines!! So much fun!!

Red and Gold

Here is an abstract I just finished. It is 12" x 12" on a gallry wrapped canvas with painted black edges. It has some Golden glass bead gel and Micaceous Iron Oxide gel to add texture. The red squares and rectangle are handmade paper collaged on and then the red acrylic on top. It has an earthy masculine feel to it.

Milner Gardens -Art and Photography

I had the priveledge of being invited to paint and show my work in the beautiful Milner Gardens, Art in the Garden Show.

It was ideal weather for painting outdoors with only a couple of gusts of wind. I had the perfect spot with a beautiful view of the ocean and close to the live music that was playing throughout the weekend. I met lots of people and many of the artists. To make a great weekend better I sold two paintings!!
